Little Miss Katie was a Mill dog Rescue she is 2 years old and had been used for breeding. Her first 2 years she had 2 litters done by C-Section, she was to small to give birth to her litters. After the 2 years they were going to destroy her since it costs too much for C-Sections. I was able to adopt her and let me tell you, it was one of the best decissions I had ever made. Lupus erythematosus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of various parts of the body such as the skin, joints, blood and kidneys. In an autoimmune condition such as Lupus, the immune system fails to tell the difference between foreign substances (antigens) and its own cells and tissues. The immune system forms antibodies (special protein substances made by the body to defend against bacteria and other foreign substances) that attack healthy tissues and organs. For most people, Lupus is a mild disease affecting only a few body organs; for others, it may cause serious and even life-threatening problems.

Lupus foundation needs help with donations and getting the word out about this disease! They have lots of information to educate you about Lupus and how it effects the lives of people that have this disease. Please donate and spread the word!
